Title: 52gr .254 Bullet for your Powerfull .25 cal PCP
Post by: Nomadic Pirate on October 14, 2012, 08:00:42 PM
This bullets are designed for Airguns, not taken from the PB cast bullets pool

With such a great Metplat this bullet is vastly superior for hunting than your conventional design pellet.

This Bullet could turn your Sumatra long rifle into close to a 100 FPE Hunter.

Here's a group I just shot at 45 yards, no warm up, no particular super bench resting technique  ;D ;D ...just resting the front on a bag

These would be great for predator or hog.
Now you got me thinking of adjusting my .25 Condors to shoot heavier slugs than the lighter 25gr JSB's I have been shooting at the lowest power setting.  I wouldn't mind trying some of these to see if the LW barrel likes them.  Do you know if he makes them in .252" or .253 Manny?  The Condors do not like 0.254" at all.

This is the guy working with/getting his molds from Veral (LeadBulletTechnology), right?  He posted elsewhere that he originally had a version of this mold that was designed to drop .253, but it wasn't up to par for the Sumatra's and that they needed .254.  Not sure if he had that .253 mold anymore, as he referred to it as an "expensive mistake"......might want to contact him about trying some .253 stuff.

If you order a mold for this .25 design from Veral/LBT..........Veral often requests that you slug your barrel and send him the slugs so he can adjust the diameter precisely to a specific barrel, along with a formed impression of the ?forcing cone? or what have you (with PB's, anyway).

Been seeing some really powerful .25 AirForce rifles shooting LBT's at 100-130fpe lately.......long range stuff, too (well over 200 yards).  Said to hit the steel very hard (no surprise there lol).

That's probably the most important question :)  My most powerful .25 Condor shoots 42gr Eun Jins at 90fpe, but it's not as accurate as I would like the heavy EJ's.  I would imagine I could easily get 100fpe with these 52gr slugs.

He makes 50gr and 58gr too.

21 bucks for a 50 count bag shipped

I'm actually selling ALL my airguns, this guy came up here one day to do some shooting and he fell in love with the MAX immediatly, and gave me Top dollars for it, couldn't turn down the offer :) :)

selling ALL my guns but starting with the harderst to sell, Claw and DAQ are up 1st :) :)

Manny, sorry to hear you are selling (all?) your airguns.  I guess you must have a good reason.

Are you posting the guns 4sale on the GTA Classifieds, or somewhere else?

Harry

Yes I had my Claw and DAQ for sale on both the GTA and yellow for some time now,...I will be selling all my guns but I'm not in a rush so I don't need to sell undervalue, I'm starting with the hardest to sell than when those go I'll get the other ones out there, eventually they ALL have to go,..getting out of airgun hunting and getting back into BowHunting :)

Here my current Hunting bows that I just skinned and refinished :)

Nice bows Manny!  Are you going to hunt Mongoose with a bow too?  Why not keep 1 .22 or .25 airgun for the little critters? :)

LOL, You guys think it's hard to get Porkers with Air Rifles ? ...piece of cake compared to take them with longbows when you really have to get inside their own circle,....need to get really prepared mentally  :) :) ;)

I like them between 70#  and  75#

Compound isn't a bow but a Mechanical device, LOL ....by definition to be a bow it needs to "bow" ;) ;)

Compounds will run circles around traditional bows in the target range, but in real hunting situation the stick bow is vastly superior ;)
