So, I was at Cabela's last night and the nice folks down there were showing me a top quality camera for my varminating exploits; although they were sold out and I was unable to purchase this cam - I do think I will be buying this GoPro Hero2 HD Cam sometime soon. Probably within the next couple of weeks and I think its always nice to have a reminder of a days exploring, shooting or whatever you will.
Down the road I would love to buy some sort of quality night optics (night vision) for my evening/late night pigeon exterminations endevours. I guess for now though; I'll just have to make do with my friend and flashlights spotting pigeons in barns/quansits.
Do any of you guys have any experience or feed back from this product, the GoPro Hero2 HD mountable cam? I would really love to be able to record my adventures in varminating.. lol!

GoPro cameras are a lot of fun to mess around with. I think they were originally designed priamarily as a 3rd person camera and have a wide field of view. That is something that takes some getting use to. We have become spoiled with the zoom function on our point and shoot camera and that option isn't there with the GoPro cameras. Here is a video a friend and I put together using a GoPro Hero2. It is not "varminating" but shooting sporting clays. Once you buy one, you will wish you had another one to get multiple angles. The Hero3 was recently released so the prices on the Hero2 models are dropping. It would be a good time to get one... or two.
