Title: Just Put My Finger On The Order Button Again - Crosman Venom Nitro Piston
Post by: gene_sc on October 21, 2010, 12:55:26 PM
She should be rolling up sometime next week. This will keep me from doing any cal conversions. It is a .177 version of the Benji Trail NP .22

Looks like this is an exclusive deal from Crosman to Sportsmans Guide. Can't buy this package anywhere else.

Pricing is fair and even better if you are a member and have an up to date $10.00 off coupon.

I've had my eye on them as well and they gave me the idea to swap my titan upper into my G1 stock. That stock has to be one of the best deals in the shooting world with very solid construction and a great heft and feel to it. Bet that .177 caliber will work fantastic with the NP powerplant too. Make sure and let us know what you think of it once you get to try it out.   ;D J

Gene,
I've been shooting mine for about 2 months now and your gonna love the little caliber.  It is a blast and has been very accurate taking a couple of Grackels at 50 yards+.  I was impressed with the gun right out of the box, but it is about time to tear it down as soon as the new stabilizer kits are shipped and let the experiments begin.  I shoot CPHP in mine at 960 fps average and they are the most accurate that I've found in the gun.  That may change after the tune and all I feel sure it's a possibility.  Do yourself a favor and don't even bother with the little 4X scope they send with the gun, the optics stink.  Go ahead and mount a decent scope on it to start with and have a ball.  Let us know what your R&D uncovers on this gun when it's available.  Thanks.
Tim

Ya Tim the .177 has been what I have been waiting for...:) Not into the .22 cals. Will probably sell my Titan when I finish with it. May even buy another Venum in .177..:)

Will keep that in mind Skip. Well I got my new Venom today. Have not had time to do anything today but open the box and look, touch and hold...:) She is a Titan NP .177 and only difference is the stock. Still same powerplant. Will have more time tomorrow and will get back here with pictures and some numbers.
