Looking to put a new scope on my disco. I'd like it to be as light as possible a under 40mm. Right now I have my sights set on the leapers 4x32 AO mil-dot, but I don't know much about scopes outside of airgun scopes and this being a disco I wouldnt be opposed to putting another brand on.
Defiantly not looking fr anything fancy here, just light and small and would prefer a mil-dot, any suggestions?

Just make sure you get something with an adjustable objective. I'm a big fan of Leupolds and the Bushnell Elite scopes. The Leupold EER 3-9x makes a great light weight scope. In fact I may move one from a springer and put it on my Disco, although the weight isn't a big issue for me so I may go with a Bushnell Elite 4-12X. I like to have at least 12X available for punching paper.

You may want to check responses RE: Hawke scopes on the Yellow Forum. Many have been OK, but many of the cheaper ones other than the Eclipse have had numerous problems. Those problems include reticles and clarity issus. I had to return my Varmint model and exchange it for an Eclipse due to poor clarity. Customer service is outstanding both in doing what is right and giving an honest evaluation of their scope line. Also the side focus is extremely stiff and usually requires going to a large wheel for ease of focus. Another issue is weight as these 30 mm bodies are heavy.
I do have a Sidewinder 30 8-32 X 56 that is extremely heavy, has a large sidewheel, and has an excellent SR12 reticle. This scope is extemely clear and I use it to shoot USBR @ 25 yds. However it requires a very high mounting to clear a magazine requiring the highest AG mounts I could get.
I could suggest some others, but do not know your specific uses and budget limit.
