I have a bunch of Chipmunk pelts from my Pest Problem. I wanted to know if there was anything I could do with them. (I.E Sell them) If not thats fine, I love the look of the pelts!

I have heard of Mepps before. Has anyone had any positive experience with them?

How do you preserve the pelts? I have a skunk in mind who wakes me up every night with its screeching and disgusting smell...
-
Sew them together and make you a jacket.

Cod liver oil makes a fine medium-grade tan for the leather. Going to needs lots and lots of chippers for a jacket. Even rabbits-es need large qty and they're much bigger.
cheers,

They are an old inline spinner company. They originated the French inline spinner. They trade lures for squirrel tails, or buy them. Did it as a kid. IIRC, they paid 20-25 cents a tail at that time. Never heard of anyone wanting chipmunk though. Mike

I usually shoot Chippers in the vitals and the .22 pellet rips through them, even with the "low" power guns like my 13fpe 850 .22. If you find someone, ask them if it's OK the little pelts have a 5.5 to 6+mm holes in them :)
