I saw 2 out by the road this morning, within a hundred yards or so of my property so I knew that at least one would be checking out the butternut or apple trees in my yard. Around noon I took the Disco out and got set up( at about 30yrds) to wait. I had a Kodiak loaded and was ready when this guy came in making a beeline for the apple tree. I waited till he got to a branch for apple picking and got him in the scope. The Kodiak hit between the eye and ear on the right and exited out the other side. He dropped like a stone ( along with a few apples :D ) (http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb138/dk1677/N10.jpg)

Good shooting with the Disco Dave! I remember when we had a NY Golden Delicious apple tree growing up. We 'd find many apples half-eaten on the ground or bitten in the tree by squirrels. Those were some great apples. I don't blame them. With the abundance of nut and fruit trees you have Dave, it's doubtful you will ever run out of squirrels :) No wonder you have both Gray and Red BT's, plus all the Chippers. They must come from all corners of the town to your property and move right into all the abandoned dens ;D

Thanks guys! I think your right Harry, there are oak trees down the road from me that attract them and they keep on moving ;) . About a mile away in town they are all over.
