Didn't have but about an hour of actual woods time since I had to get back to the house for the Home Health nurse so that she could give momma her Genomycin shot.
Woods were alive with squirrels. Wish that I could have stayed longer. But there's all fall to get fill the freezer with bushytails.

The 18.1 grain Exacts don't play when they connect. There should have been 4 instead of three, but I need to practice my offhand shooting. I totally missed one offhand at about 15 yards!! His head was filling up my scope window. I should have been able to center one in that noggin. But I missed.

Heh brother 3 is better than none. Great pic, like how you stack em up. Your shooter looks pretty sweet as well.

Three beautiful squirrels is a great way to start the day 8). Nice rifle too. Huntsmen?

Excellent haul in such a short time!!! Great shooting!

Thanks so much y'all!!! I appreciate your comments!!! Yes, the rifle, a daystate Huntsman XL, is my latest rifle and it is light as a feather. And very very accurate,

Nice shooting on that group! we have all had our misses ;)

A fine morning indeed. Good job.

nice shooting!
not bad for an hour!

Nice shooting.

Nice shooting! Sometimes the squirrel will move its head very quickly as you are squeezing the trigger. It happens.
I really like the Huntsman XL and have been seriously looking at it.. But someone told me that it is kind of "loud" and not as quiet as the Marauder or other guns with a full shroud. AOA says the barrel is fully shrouded. How would you describe the report? or as it compares to others?
Thanks!
Harry

Great shooting.

Thanks for the replies!!!!!! The report of this gun in the woods is about like the Marauder 25. And TO ME, they are both more quiet than they need to be. I wouldn't feel one bit uncomfortable shooting the Huntsman in town, in someones yard. That's about all i can say on that. Clap your hands together one time, not hard, just a light clap. It's about like that.

For the short time spent in the sticks you came out on top for sure. Great shooting and pics and there are times when all of us had gone in and came out with nothing but twigs in our boots hehe. It's not just the excitment of a harvest taken but each step in Ma Nature leading up to it. ;) Ed

Kevin.....great write up! One of these days a Huntsmen is on my list. Since you made some adjstments to the velocity sounds like you have been really tearing it up.
