Title: One of my fall hunting rigs...short trip duty (and possibly long trip duty!!)

This little baby is currently shooting high 5's for 11 fpe.

Just tried it out on a fat cottontail tonight........whop!

Dropped it and it started kicking. Had to walk over and give it a followup headshot, and then it was all over.
Skinned up nice, and is in the fridge marinating now.

Has a 14 inch bbl that came from a 1322 that was a recent purchase, but has now been made a light pump rifle.
HIPAC'd, and always filled to 1800-1900psi, no higher. Green spring.
Gets 10 good shots at this power level within a 12 fps spread.
May go with a hotter valve in the future, would be nice to get it up to 15 fpe for 7 or so shots.
Thinking to make it a complete takedown rig, I will get a stock adaptor/power adjustor endcap.
Also, get a set of Ricks grips, I love that thick thumb shelf target style grip he does.
Gun is 17 inches long, so k-i-n-d-a a long pistol, but......I can live with it.   Balance isnt too bad, and without the hipac, its almost perfect.
With the red dot mounted like that, it fit in a holster on my right side, and I can even ride the atvs without interference.
I always take the c02 cap and 2 carts, in the event I ever run out of air, I can just pull the hipac and insert a cart. Plans are...once the power adjustor is on....make reference marks for c02versus HPA, so that there will be little to no POI change with the c02 swap.

As it is right now....the c02 only shoots about 25fps slower with the same pellets. Im kinda afraid that might change with a hot valve, ya know?

It is about an 1.5 inch group @ 25 yds gun right now, but I haven't gotten extensive testing done, because Im not sure Im done with power.
Once I get power levels where I want it, will nail down group sizes. The gun literally has only about 35 rounds thru it in current configuration.

BTW, the rabbit lazered at 26 yds. Might switch to Predators with this gun if they shoot well. Sorry no pics of the rabbit, I dont lug a camera with me.

IF accuracy turns out stellar on it, might pull thick-brush squirrel duty in october as well.

God bless,

Farmer

Nice shooting with the pistola and keep us posted on getting her dialed in the way you like it. I good air pistola can be deadly with shot placement and pellet selection and it put's a bigger smile on your face when yo harvest a critter withy them. Ed
