Title: Looking for info on my R-9?

Hello, I don't know if this information is available but I haven't found it yet.

I have an R9 in .177 that I bought used and I was wondering if there is a way to find some history on it, manufacture date, etc. It has open sights, no muzzle brake, no checkering, and a silver trigger. Is this an older model? Thanks.

If this is correct mine was made in 1983.  :o
