Hello All,
I accidentally forgot to take my AG out of my car trunk before going to a week-or-so long vacation. Weather was hot (90's in shade) and humid (as usual in Chicagoland). What is the worst that could happen to the AG? Dried up pistol and breech seals? Rust?
What should I immediately do my AG (albeit taking it inside :))?
Thanks!
Alexey

Unless you've noticed rusting, a wipedown and run a patch or 3 thru the bore. If properly lubed, the seal should be okay I would think. Perhaps a few gentle little pumps to make sure it's free. JMO. Mike

Rust in high humidity areas is the problem with long exposure. Recently had a Beeman disassembled out in the garage for a month or so, and even well oiled, the humidity still started some rust on the barrel and reciever. Inspect it for rust, particularly in the hard to see areas, and give it a wipedown with oil.

+1 on the rust and the need for rust preventive maintenance, Corrosion control is a never ending issue.
Lubrication would wick or drain down to the low side of the gun and could pool into the stock inletting. Remove the stock and clean it. If it was a spring gun, could diesel the next shot or two.

I wiped it with RemOil, no spots of corrosion were found. The seal was not dry - a tiny bit of fabric oil was protecting it. Looks good for now ;)
