Title: trigger is getting hard to pull

My old Crosman 761xl....from the mid 1970's...still works great, but lately the trigger is getting more and more difficult to pull...and it gets worse the more pumps I put in the gun.

I'm not too mechanically inclined...anybody have a clue as to what might be happening and how to fix it?

Hi there, my guess would be that sear surfaces are getting rough and old oil or grease getting caked with dust. If you could take it (the trigger group) apart a good polishing and lube of the sears (contact points) and the trigger pins will do wonders, and remember: DON'T change the sears angles.
