I bought a Phantom without a scope about a month ago. Naturally the windage knob on cheap plastic sight broke, but Crosman customer service quickly sent me a new one. Once I finally got around to installing it today, I noticed it was a little longer than the one on my gun. No biggie, but when I went to put it on the screw that it came with was slighty larger than the hole drilled in my breech, and I stripped the hole. So now I need a whole new barrel/breech. I'd rather they just sent me a scope to make up for the inconvenience. Think I can talk them into it?

I would ask them down in the crosman gate! It could be a possibility but at the same time they may only want to replace the parts damaged. If it was opened they may not want to do anything if the warranty is voided.

Ya, I wouldn't volunteer the fact that I've opened the rifle...

Well, It worked. They are sending me the scope that comes with the 1000x ;D. Of course I've heard bad things about the scope, but at least I will have a way to aim my rifle...

Well done!!!! Worth a shot as always!

just be honest and up front. they are a great company.

I was honest...the screw was only a little larger than the original one, and I told them I stripped it. I asked for a scope and got it, so ya they are a great company. They have my business for life now.

Exactly!!!! Honesty is the best policy!

Like my Dad always said it never hurts to ask they only can say no. Good score.
