Hi Folks
new member here. Thought I'd post a few picsof my pesting results.
I started a year ago with a Stoeger X20 when I could no longer stand the nutters taking my figs (figgers?). They also dig in the mulch, strip my pecan tree, run across the roof damaging the shingles, and tear up any potted plants.
From August 2011 thru Feb 2012, I eliminated about 35; then the Stoeger started spraying pellets. I researched my options, and, in April, bought a .22 Marauder from Bryan and Associates , as they are local to me. Got a Hawke scope, some pellets, and an FX pump.
Wow, what a difference : quiet, a repeater, and no recoil.
Since then, I've eliminated over 24 more vermin, including 3 crows and one chipmunk.
A few pics below.
I really appreciate the helpful and positive attitude on this Forum. Thanks to the Mods.

Welcome. Those are some good looking squirrels there. They can be a real PITA!
Btw. Nice choice of equipment. It certainly helps when they are on the run.

scmerker, a big welcome to the GTA forum and family. Great accuracy with both your air rifles. Maybe you just need to open up the Stoger to change the piston seal....or even better check that all the screws are snug and tight and give the barrel a good cleaning first. Sometimes that's all that's needed to get the accuracy back.
Btw....do you own a Merker XR4Ti ?

Btw....do you own a Merker XR4Ti ?
Over time, I've owned 4 XR's and 2 Scorpio's. The Scorpio was waaaay ahead of its time : Sedan body with a hatchback (think Audi A7 today), reclining back seats, that also folded flat, great handling, very quiet. Very poor marketing from Lincoln-Mercury.
Thanks for the tips on the springer. I've got a boatload of .177 pellets I need to shoot!

Nice. I always liked the styling of those two cars you mentioned. One of my friends used to own a Merker XR4Ti. The biggest problem with the XR4Ti was that the turbo tend to really heat up the coolant, and actually solidified it causing turbo failure (That's what I've read and heard anyways).
I also read that car sold pretty well in Europe. Not that well in North America maybe because of its model name: XR4Ti ....kind of hard to say or remember.
