I recently bought a Cometa Fusion Premier .22 , and with Cdn Restrictions it's only being offered in 500fps, which is ok with me since I alway's bring my a/g's up to factory specs anyways, but this time I encountered something different, out of the box, the gun didn't fire, it's as if the spring went half way and then just stopped, that happened 3 out of 5 times before I took it apart and changed the mainspring to a Crosman Quest 1000, It sure took that problem away real quick, and brought the numbers up to near 900fps, but that should come down 50-75fps with time, But anyways, getting back to why I wrote this,,could it be that the folks at Cometa are putting in too weak of a mainspring, it's the same length as the crosman, but it's as flimsy as something you'd find in an airsoft gun.Any Cometa owners out there find anything similar to this with theirs?, Cheer's, Andy.

I am under the impression, this is done by a 3rd party. They detune them, then get them passed as a non pal gun for the Canadian market.
