I'm confused by the X. As I understand it the Xs are counted separate from the score for some reason. Or is it that you don't get a ten unless your completely inside the ten circle? I think I just shot a 176 (not my entry) and I want to make sure I'm doing this right.

X's are tallied separately and used to break a tie score.  FYI, a 177 pellet hole cannot just touch the outside of the center X dot to score an X, and not be completely within and not touching the 10 ring line.  This rule only affects those shooting 22 pellets.  Check out the top right bull on my target.  While there may appear to be an X, due to the pellet tearing the paper just right, it is not an X scored with an Eagle Eye gauge and does not touch the inside of the 10 ring line.

So an X must not touch the 10 line and definitely touch the center dot; correct?

Correct.  And any shot touching the 10 ring line, even just the outside edge of the 10 ring line, scores a 10.  Welcome to the match gandalfretlaw!

Thank you, didn't change the score any, but went from three X down to one. Now if I can do the same for my shirt sizes :-) (actually I'm a large or 1x)

190/200 5X
RWS Superdomes 8.3gr
8/8/12
Gamo Whisper
Gamo 3-9X-40 (5.5X)
10yd offhand

My first attempt was with an image over 200kb and the system didn't save the text. yuck!

I'm still not satisfied with this image. This is the best image I got out of multiple scans and multiple formats. PNG seems to keep most of the detail. It's ok for most of it, but the upper right target is hard to see.

I have folded the paper flaps back flat in the image. There is a three shot group at the bullseye. On the paper I can see the three shots along the bottom edge, but it's a case where one or more of the shots ripped the paper and one of the shots went through a mostly open gap. I was pulling five pellets for each target and I shot five pellets. The shot to the right is obvious. The shot to the left is nearly an exact bullseye but appears to have just bent back the top paper. The middle shot has a rip portion along the bottom, but also appears to have pushed back the top paper.

Please everyone check my scoring as this is my first time posting a score. I used a loose pellet to check actual hole size where I wasn't sure.

Score looks good to me.  And the one to beat!  That is some fine shooting with a springer! Nice job.  If you shoot 4 per bull on all 5 bulls it will be a little easier to score next time.  It is also fine to shoot two per bull on two consecutive sheets, and post both sheets if you keep having "problems" with your pellets going into the same hole  ;D  Brushy Bill and Larspawn have that same problem when they shoot this match.

FWIW, I scan at 150dpi color, then save as jpeg at a 25% quality setting.  That usually looks good and stays under the 200K limit.

I'll see if I can't hook up the color scanner for next time. It was having issues with it last I remember. This is off the office copier/scanner which is just black and white. It just puts a tiff in a folder on your computer. The nice thing on it is you can auto-feed scan documents.

This was my first time shooting RWS Superdomes and my gun loved them. Guess I'll have to buy some more. I think I was shooting high 170s with sorted CPHP. I thought afterwards I should have shot four each on the targets. The 10yd 15shot one still gave me issues, but I finally got a good one on it as well. I'm really good at shooting great 80% of the time but generally muff up 20%. I need to work on constancy, follow-through and breathing. Unfortunately 10yards is about all my backyard is good for.
