Title: My Crosman 2200 Magnum.
Post by: jolobolo on July 14, 2012, 10:06:17 PM
I finally sorted out the 2200 I won at auction last year. I sent the valve that was the main problem away to swap for a new one as the rifle came from Canada originally had a blow of valve so was limited for use in Canada . But the British postal service lost it and due to legislation you cannot buy one without swapping it for another one. With a bit of begging and fudging of the rules I had a dead 766 valve so I sent that of and I got my new valve.
Sorted sort off new valve kit new seals new pump cup bit of oil internals done. The stock was broken when I received the rifle the two round loops were broken of so till I can figure out a fix I replaced the all the plastic with the plastic of the 766 I swapped the valve of looking good. The only problem I had was no matter what I did I couldn't get the blooming thing back together I would try and fail for ages it just didn't work.
It hadn't helped my son had been in my gun box and looked for some Allen keys to fix his scooter by look I mean dump everything out and put it all back anywhere It fit.
So back and forth I went till I had enough and so had my wife she wanted the dining table back. I sat looking at the plans I had for the 2200 I went back to basics look at the Crosman pages books and diagrams then lightbulb moment I was looking at the 3 phase and I only had a 1st phase it's an early one.
Went together easy if your looking at the right diagram.
I need to find a silver scope to go on this just to finish this of but I took her out to the range at work today wow I am so impressed with the way she shoots.
Three pumps is great on the 10 meter range punching paper. 6 pumps knocks down targets and spinners at 15 meters I took it up to 8 just to see and it a powerful rifle I will run it over the Crono in the next week or so.
It's taken a while but I'm glad I perceivered.

Good looking 2200 there. Glad you got it sorted.
There is an interesting thread going on the 2100 (.177 sibling of the 2200), you may get some useful tips from it: http://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php/topic,32451.0.html (http://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php/topic,32451.0.html)

I had in mind to convert my .177 to .22, but sadly my local dealer said .22 parts no longer available from Crosman.
