Title: Better day for my .22 NPSS
Post by: Fisherdude on October 10, 2010, 09:40:28 PM
Today I backed out the grub screw that keeps the pivot bolt from turning and sure enough it was a little loose.  I went ahead and pulled it apart and found that there is 0.010 in. clearance on each side of the barrel block.  One side of the barrel block was bored a little deeper than the other and the factory plastic washers just weren't able to fill the gap.  I went back with a 5/16 brass washer that was a few thousandths thicker and put her back together.  Once again I am able to make my swingers spin at 30 yard.  Yee Haw!!!

Yep, bronze or brass washers do the trick! Keep an eye on them also, as mine wore in as the shots added up. A little tightening of the pivot screw from time to time keeps my gun happy!

Don C sent me some bronze washers a while back. Thanks Don. I am in the proceess of doing a tune one a new Titan GP. The washers Don sent me worked out great.

I had to do a bit of work on them so they would fit properly. In the end I had a great setup.
