My new 34 .177 t06 is shooting awesome.
I took it apart and installed a new factory seal and a vortek replacement spring and the shot cycle is Almost as smooth and quick as my R1. Almost.
Its shooting cphp 7.9gr at 965-975
And jsb exacts at 930-938!
Thats 16.2 fpe with jsb's!
Is this normal from a vortek spring and new seal with a lube tune and de-burring?
-Jeremy
P.s. its holding consisten dime size groups from a rest at 30 yards
Pretty sweet!

I am looking at doing the same thing with my week old rifle and hope I have the same results!

What spring did you buy? Is it this one? http://vortekproducts.com/ourstore/airgun%20Springs/Air-Gun-Springs?product_id=89 (http://vortekproducts.com/ourstore/airgun%20Springs/Air-Gun-Springs?product_id=89)

Awesome #'s. And accurate too! I put a Vortek spring in my .22 cal. D34 and lost almost 10% power (720 fps with stock spring & seal down to mid-670's). Smooth shooting though.

Definitely got a high yield spring.

Scotty,
Its funny you brought that up. The spring i used was purchased for my .34 .22 amd i lost the velocity with the vortek spring as you did. I had it laying around and since my .34 .177 was bone dry whem i got it. I swapped the stock spring for the vortek with a lube tune deburr and factory replacement seal which i also had laying around and somehow someway i gained about 10% velocity with the same vortek spring that lost me 10% velocity in my .22 rws 34. Very strange. But it cocks like butter now with less energy needed amd the shot cycle isnt as harsh. It must be more efficient for the smaller caliber. But for the life of me idk why or how.

P.s. now that ive got about 1000 rounds through the gun its settled at around 950-955 fps avg with cphp. Thats 15.8-16 fpe average which is just dandy lol.
