Just got back from Walmart and bought 4 tins of Crosman Destroyer .177 Cal, 7.9 Grains, 250 count for $2.00 a tin!
-
good deal bro
-
Are they the Destroyer EX's, or the original Destroyers?

does wally world have a web site ..
-
Sure, www.walmart.com (http://www.walmart.com), or go to http://www.walmart.com/ip/Crosman-Premier-Hollow-Point-.22-Caliber-Pellets-14.3-Grain-500-Count/14234823 (http://www.walmart.com/ip/Crosman-Premier-Hollow-Point-.22-Caliber-Pellets-14.3-Grain-500-Count/14234823)
But online pricing is not as good in stores... that is, if you can find what you need in stock. I was amazed to find .20 pellets online but I am not sure whether it is a good price... http://www.walmart.com/ip/Crosman-Benjamin-.20-caliber-pellets-500-count/10248635 (http://www.walmart.com/ip/Crosman-Benjamin-.20-caliber-pellets-500-count/10248635)
You would never find those in a local Walmart!

I just picked up four tins of the Destroyers after reading the reviews oner at PA. I already had one partial tin. but I could not let that $2.00 price pass me by. This may be the perfect pest-eradicator for my close-in needs (and my forth-coming Browning 800 Mag/.177).

They are the ex at least at my wally world , some people get good results from them , I have both kinds and the exs do not work well in anything I own. the older ones even look different
but what the heck we can use them for fishing weights LOL!!! thanks David

hmmm... i checked the other day when i was in my local wally; they only had Crosman .177 cal pellets. So i guess it depends on your local store; apparently they don't all carry the same things.

Academy has the regular destroyers for about 2.50 a tin. Also have Benjamin .20 cylindricals for under 10 bucks a tin for 500. That's the best price I've found anywhere. And they actually carry them in store at that price.

I tried the Destroyer EX $2 pellets. Do well in some rifles. I weighted them and they are 7.4 gr. They do seem tiny...
-
Destroyer EX cuts clean hole on paper target but too much feathers flying when shooting pest birds.
-
they shoot really good in my ruger airhawk and blackhawk

-
what is the difference between the Destroyer and the Destroyer EX?????
-
They look to me that the skirt is shorter and weigh less, 7.4 vs 7.9 gr....
-
The Destroyer EX pellets have a ring around the buisiness end . They work great in my Hammerli 490 Express, not too bad in a couple of my airguns, but not too good in most of the guns I tried them in.
-
Thank you...I didn't even notice the EX, I didn't even know there was an EX out there. Guess that is what I get for not checking the Forum in a while! Going to have to check in more often!!!!

I stopped at the local Wally today and they had at least 30 tins of the Destroyer EX. I bought one tin to try, but I think they will be too light for my R9. I can always shoot them out of my Crosman 10/77. Can't beat the price

My local Super Wally only has CPHP (in .177 and .22) and now carry the non-lead pellets for .177 but other than that NADA.
-
I just made another run to Wallys looking for what turned out to be the EX. I thought I'd only bought tins of the regular Destroyers, then looked at them the other day. I had three tins of the EX and one tin of the pointed pellets. So I tried them. They shoot great in my Browning 800. I like the Destroyers, but I think I like the EX version better. Those pointed pellets are pretty decent too. I don't know how much they weigh. Have to check PA for that I suppose. Anyway Wally only had the pointed pellets today, so I bought two more tins of them. They won't go to waste.

I have found the crossman pointed from WW shoot great at long ranges. the destroyer ex shoot good at short to medium range. I really like both.

that's great to know, shaft. I'm waiting on a scope for the Browning 800 right now. I can see using both pellets; the EX for close-in pest control work, and the pointed pellets...well just to see. Also I can use both with my Beeman dual caliber model 1073 with I put the .177 barrel in the breech block.
-
One of the local walmarts here has the cphp, pointed, destroyer ex's, and the lead free crosman in stock all the time. I buy the cphp and ex's both, my phantom likes them all pretty good so I buy a tin or 2 of whichever one is in stock. The cphp do need some better qc though, the last tin I bought had at least a dozen ex's mixed in it. For the price though any of the crosman walmart pellets are pretty good.
-
I'd lke to find the EX in .22 for my rifles and the CPHP in .177 for the Browning pistol. Come Wally! Get with the program! ya got everybody's money! ;D
-
My local wallyworld has cphp in .177. I don't think they make the destroyers in .22 though.
-
maybe one day an EX in .22. Imagine the possibilities...
