my ar1000 rifle couldn't cork so after a fruitless hunt for a repair shop gave up and decided to disassemble it myself(1st time to do so). my limited knowledge tells me the trigger is the problem. the thing is the part that's supposed to latch / hook onto the spring (i mean whole unit) doesn't automatically do so. after removing the trigger and dismantling assembling it and comparing the whole thing with a diagram i downloaded i realise everything is ok ( only when i manually push part2301 the trigger engages and shoots properly).
i have checked and rechecked if am missing anything. could it be there is some other part missing somewhere else?

Thebe, I'm afraid I can't help you with this issue as I have no experience with these rifles. Several of our members have TF 89's and Chinese Beeman's so I'm sure if you continue to check this thread someone will chime in with good info. You may want to PM DMikeM, IIRC he has a good knowlege of the trigger units in these rifles.

Welcome to the GTA Thebe. I took apart my TF89 .22 (basically the same as your AR1000) and polished the trigger assembly, came out well. Here is a link to the trigger guide I used, it explains the trigger assembly better than I could.

Are you sure you didn't loose any springs? Sorry I can't be more help. send me a PM if you can't download the file.

When everything is set in place is the trigger assembly sitting perpendicular to the main compression tube? I had a problem with the bottom of my trigger assembly tilted towards the rear and would not latch onto the piston. Also with the trigger assembly removed and pushing the piston catch manually does that part 2301 move up and engage?

thanx for the replies guys. your input highly appreciated will go back and try out. Jonny Z thanx a lot for the link worked. looks very informative havent gotten down to readin.

****update
took the gun apart again over the weekend did some work on the trigger. though the trigger is still not latching on the piston i managed to shoot a few pellets. there is quite a noticeable change on the trigger now after the polishing, the only problem it won't latch i have to do it by pressing the sear a bit and it latches which begs this question,is it possible the piston may have incurred some form of damage shortening it thereby reducing the length of travel against the sear. the reason am saying this is like i said i have to press the sear and everything just falls into place and the gun cocks.

You may want to order a new trigger group. I had to weld and grind certain areas to make mine work well. Also heated and dipped the built up parts in oil to harden it. Knock on wood it has lasted quite a while now. You got to study the parts in motion to see where needs to be built up. Sorry that is the best advice I can give.
Oh by the way are all the the parts original? Piston spring guides washers and things of that sort.
I had to add this before walking out the door make sure when installing the trigger group not to compress the main spring to far in. Keep the base of the spring guide between the shear and trigger housing.

I haven't had mine apart in quite awhile. I do remember though there being a spring held in place only by light tension between sears. It can come loose and fall out when messing with the assembly. Yours might have decided to jump ship and head for parts unknown :-\ I'd do a parts comparison against a diagram and make sure everything is there.

the trigger is the origional, i'm now going to play around with the main spring coz like i said earlier a slight press to the sear cocks the gun. i'm definately going to try compressing the spring like you say.

the original spring for the sear and sear catch did just that migrated to the unknown had to modify another spring which is working just as well.
