Went back to the new farm yesterday afternoon for a second round with the g-hog population. Weapon of choice was the .22 Condor and 21 gr. Kodiaks. It wasn't the best day, it rained on and off, but in between rain showers I managed to cull out 2 more g-hogs ;D
I saw plenty of other g-hogs during my hunt but it was either raining or I got busted during my stalks. There's certainly no shortage of targets that's for sure !! Even in the rain there were g-hogs out roaming around the vegetables all afternoon. This farm is literally a g-hog gold mine.... easy to see why the farmer is getting so much crop damage.....
Didn't take any pics but they were nice healthy, tender young ones .... just the kind I like ;D
I may head back late this afternoon for another hunt after the sun goes down, much to hot to go now... If I nail anything I'll make sure to take pics this time....

Nice job at the new farm Jeff! Too bad you couldn't take pics. It sounds like the place is crawling with G-hogs. They have found a good food source and have overrun the place. I can't wait to read your future hunts there. Can you take pics of the place so we get the general idea what it looks like?

More nice shooting Jeff!

Great shooting brother and keep after em, your on a roll now. Ed

Thanks guys. It was a little frustrating having to sit under cover while it rained and watch the g-hogs having a grand old time out in the crops but I wasn't going to get my beloved Condor soaked.......
I wound up taking the wife out for a ride on the boat this afternoon so I never got to the farm..... gotta spend some time with the wife though ;D just as important as my hunting ;D
Harry, next time I get to the new farm I will indeed take some pics so I can show you guys the place......

Such a dog! :P
I'm glad you spent some time with the wifey. I'd hate to see you divorced over a new groundhog hunting ground! :P
-
Tell me about it Randy. I think my wife is thinking of divorcing me now and I just shoot a G-hog here and there on our <1acre property! She is always complaining I am watching the windows too much and shooting, which I only do once a week on a Sat. or Sun. for like 30min. using a different gun every week to practice, so I remember how they shoot. And in the winter time she complains about the Ding Donger going off all the time :) Seesh, I can't get a break.. Hey, if it weren't for those things, she 'd find something to complain about anyway, hehehe. Like I 've said many times, we need a hunter anonymous or hunting/airgun therapists we can go to :)

Wet, or dry, that new farm is sounding like "hunt heaven". Nice shooting Jeff !
Paul.

Thanks ;D
The wife is going out shopping today with our oldest daughter, who is home for a short visit, so I'm headed off to the new farm this afternoon to continue the culling. Hopefully will have some pics to post later, if not I'll post some pics of the farm so you can get an idea what it looks like.....

Look forward to the update.

Hey Jeff,Glad you had a nice hunt at the new g-field, let the NPXL get more action,we know what the condor will do. ;D

Thanks Paul... I am going to make it a point to use a variety of my shooters at the new farm. I have quite a few shooters that don't have any g-hogs kills under their belts yet ;D
