This crow was making a big racket,so pumped up my Sheridan and loaded a Benjamin Cylindrical 14.3 gr and slipped out onto my patio...he was perched on a fence post at 24 yards...the shot caught him full in the chest....
Scope is a NcStar 2-7x32 pistol scope mounted 'scout style'...

LOl!!! I like the screw jack you use for a rest that is a good idea , and great shooting to with that old pumper. Thanks David

Man, your gun is in 1000% better shape than my Blue Streak :) I got mine in 1971 and it looks like it was buried, thrown in the garbage, and then found again!. Great shot on that crow! Lot's of folks don't realize how great those guns really are.
I was out last summer shooting my brand-new at the time RWS 350 and it was okay accurate. Pulled out the old Blue Streak and was stacking them in the same hole! Made me wonder why I bought the springer. :D I love mine and took it hunting the other day for old time's sake :) I've had that gun longer than I've been married-both times. :P

You can restore that Sheridan...remove stock.sand it all down and use Formby's Tung oil Finish....I did mine...plus,i masked off action, and re-painted barrel with SEM black..(automotive trim paint)..

Nice shooting with the old Sheridan! That oughtta shut it up :) I like the idea of using a car jack! It has to be a very solid rest.

Good shooting, wow! I hear crows making a racket all the time at my house (I can hear some right now) but they never will get close enough for me to take a shot!
And your Sheridan... Awesome. I remember shooting my dad's when I was about 12 or 13 (I'm 38). It looked exactly like yours, but was maybe a 1980 model. I'm sure he still has it, I should ask him because I'd love to shoot it again. I always liked the way the barrel sat right on top of the rifle, no shroud of any kind...
