Had a fellow airgun friend come over yesterday as we plinked from 30 yards at steel and paper targets. He brought his Theoben he bought in 1985 with a gas RAM all original (27 years old) in .177 caliber. With a few scope adjustments that gun was shooting .5" groups after all these years. Chronied some Crosman 7 grain pellets for him and the gun is pumping them at roughly 920 fps. Heavier JSB's in the 10 grain range a modest 780's fps! To be that old the gun shoots great.
The HW97k was the first time he had shot it. He was amazed by the recoil and what the Vortek system does for a gun. The HW was right on target with no scope adjustment needed. This gun still amazes me!

I love my HW-97. I sold all my high end springers and kept it. It truely is an amazing gun to shoot. Mine still shoots in the low 920 fps range with stock springer. Lube tuned her and she has an exceptional overall smoothe cocking and shooting cycle. A keeper for sure..:)

97's are great guns! accurate easy to shoot! I've had several 97's and I really like their build quality and over all function, even for hunting I prefer to use a gun like this do to their accuracy! :P

Mark, I too love my HW97k. Most accurate air rifle I have ever owned. Mine is untuned in .177. Loves JSB 8.4's. I want to buy your .22, but it's not in the budget right now, I love it soo much. EVERYONE should have a chance at the amazing accuracy and consistently of the HW 97. ;)

The HW97k is still slinging 14.7 grainers at 710 fps + or - ! This rifle has impressed me for sure.
