There was a great post on the old forum that showed how to make your own brakes out of iron gas pipe.

Hi I was the person that put the post of how to make a muzzle break using a 1/2 inch pipe nipple and a soldering a flat washer on the end you cut off the tapered pipe thread off the one end and solder the flat washer on that end then using a disk sander or a bench grinder you can shape the other end the one with the threads still on it , this gives you a start on the taper since pipe threads are tapered , you sand till it is fair and polish it using emery cloth or sand paper and blue it and you will need to drill and thread 2 holes at 5 and 7 o'clock for the grub screws that hole it onto the barrel , if the barrel is too small and you need to take up some room just use a piece of shrink tubing one or two if needed but it the barrel is too big you will need to grind it inside to make the hole bigger I have used a bigger drill and a burr . Their is one other thing you can do that might be not too expensive just go to the crossman site and buy one of their muzzle breaks form one of the Remington's they sell , their parts are not to high in cost and I got my idea for the muzzle break from looking at the muzzle break on my Remington . Howie1a PS I still have the pictures if needed.

I put a Beeman Universal MB on my HW30S. It looks fine and doesn't change the POI.
Pyramid Air says "discontinued" but I seem to see several sites that still have them for around $29
