Title: Valve question 760 question
Post by: ericclarkbandit on May 25, 2012, 10:21:43 AM
I am trying to restore an old crosman 760 pumpmaster.  It came as a box of parts and I believe I have everything together correctly.  However,  how do you cock these things.  I have extensively worked with the newer 1377's and newer 760 but can't figure out this old gun.  Does it cock itself just by pumping it?

Also was able to get the valve out and between it and the striker is a brass part with leather seal.  The leather looks pretty gone are these available or is there a way to restore them?

Thanks in advance this has me puzzled.

Try Rick at PP he has all the seals and is very nice to deal with.

 If it's a 1st model (& maybe even a 2nd) it uses the 130/140 dump valve which IS self-cocking.
