Anybody know of some detailed instructions of the disassembly of the RWS 54?
I am going to replace my mainspring with a Vortek kit.
Thanks

Thanks for that referral. That site is REALLY good.
However its not very detailed on the disassembly,,,at all. There is a whole lot of assumed knowledge. He acknowledges Bruce Itterman for giving him valuable information making the disassembly and reassembly easy,,,but he give no details other than: "if you have no experience then don't disassemble the trigger,,,,just be careful...." That tip is great to have but I'm betting there are more 'tips' to be shared.
I just wondered if anyone has written down more details anywhere.
I did e-mail Roland about more details but have no response.

sorry about that but they pretty much disassemble just like anyother current production RWS Rifle like the 48 accept you need to watch when you remove the stock their's some spacers on the rail system that need to go back on the way they come off so remove the stock so it filts off straight up off the action, then remove the cocking arm at the rear it has an E clip remove it and pull out the pin that holds it in, then put the action in your spring compressor put a little pressure on it so it wont slip or move ans secure it in place so its safe then revove the 2 trigger pins and back out the spring, then pull the sliding compression back and use a 3mm allen wrench and remove the bolt that is securing the front part of the cocking and then you can remove the compression tube from the action! I hope this helps I'm sure other will chime in! :P

If you would send me an email I can send what I have on the 48 series rifle. A PM will not work, has to be email.

gracious,,,Totally fantastic,,,THE best description I've ever seen. It really answers the question of "what else do you need to know?" Hello,,,,there is a LOT to know.
Mark 611 and Gary,,,thank you SO much for being so helpful.
Is there any way these two links can be added to our library? They are soooo good.
Can't thank you enough!

Hi, Just looking for information on helping me do a few mods to my new Diana 54, specifically the o ring mod to the sled and adjustment of the tension screw would be helpful. This is my first Diana product and have some experience with airguns but unfortunately, not overly mechanically inclined. I would also like to eventually install the Vortek PG2 kit drop in kit , when I get the gun back from the Diana Warranty Department. I only had the gun 1 day but had to sent it back for repairs. It had server barrel droop, down 10 1/2 " from POA at 21 yards with optically centered scope turrets . I tried the ZR Diana droop compensation mount but no where near able to compensate for this. Very disappointing. However I assume it will eventually be brought back to factory specs but might take quite a while for this issue to work itself through. Not very happy about this.
