On Airgun Depot, They have a .177 Gamo Hunter Sport with a 3-9x40 scope for $115. Do yall think this is a good deal? What do they do to refurbished airguns? And is the hunter sport a good gun overall?

"What do they do to refurbished airguns? " Well, they are supposed to refurbish the gun to factory specs. It also depends on why the gun was a returned. Maybe the owner didn't understand how to shoot a springer and subsequently got poor groups (in other words there's nothing wrong with the gun). I've bought several refurbed guns with good results. I got a refurb Gamo Big Cat from Cabela's for $98 and you couldn't tell it apart from a brand new one. It shoots very well. $115 is IMO about $15 to $25 too much. Right now( if there's one in your area where you live) Big 5 has a brand new Gamo Hornet .177 w/ 4X32 for $109
The Gamo rifles all use the same basic action just different stocks, the Hunter Sport being wood, versus most w/ synthetic.

Nathan has the right of it.
My Hunter Sport I got used at a local gun shop last year for $50 and it tuned up nicely. Slight de-tune and it's shooting in a very civilized manner in the 830s with 7.9 Premiers and serving a period of active duty as a window gun.
Take a look at the Ruger Black Hawk for $60 on Airguns Daily. Tom

I purchased my dad the BigCat from Cabelas as a Refurb. & it's been going for about 1.5yrs now !

Nothing probably wrong with it maybe some dings etc. since many new to airgunning buy em and exspect instant accuracy. Most springers need some time to break em in and find the right ammo. Ed
