Here is an idea I came up with so that I always have a MilDot chart with me when shooting....

I used the Hawke Ballistics Reticle Calculator (BRC) Software to print a custom Scope Label the correct size to fit on the lid of a pellet tin.... You can select various Reticles (I used a 10X Half-Mildot), input the Velocity (950 fps) and BC (0.034), the Zero Range (in my case 40 yards), and the Scope Magnification (I used the 9X maximum on my scope).... and then select the diameter label you want (it's supposed to fit your scope cover).... I selected 2.3" to fit the tin....
My Leapers 3-9 x 32 AO Scope has the "extended" MilDot reticle with two additional dots above the post.... so I just wrote in the distances for the lowest dot and post.... The blue numbers are the full Dots, the black numbers are half-dots.... I printed it on a sticky-back label sheet and cut it out and stuck it on a lid.... Works great !!!
If you change anything on the gun, or change the pellet (or find the BC needs fine tuning), just print another label.... If you don't, just move the lid to the next tin of pellets....

You don't have to use 10X.... The BRC software will correct for different magnifications.... If you are using the MilDot Reticle, however, it does assume your dots are (or would be) accurate (ie 1 Mil) at 10X magnification.... In my case that was correct, at 9X each dot was 1.11 Mils (ie 4" at 100 yards)....

great idea, but if your dots donīt fit exactly in The BRC software setting, you can change the dots distance.
check the menues in the software, and there is a place were you can change the dots distance.

i wish leapers would include this information with their scopes, or do they and i just didnt see it when i read the paper stuff on my scopes

Not possible as there are too many pellets at too many different velocities.... all of which change the chart....
airpuffhunter.... I looked at the menus, and I don't see anywhere you can change the distances for the dots.... They are tied into the main variables (velocity, BC, zero, magnification, scope height, and reticle choice).... Am I missing something?....

go to chairgun
choose generic mildot in the reticle
in dotstep write your new dot step, (it ca be calculated pressing Right click in your mouse and choose calculate new.)
then in "tools" choose "labels",
choose "scope caps"
in reticle choose "generic mildot"
then print

The screen shot shows a red oval on the left where you set the dot spacing. But I never change it. If it is a mil-dot, it should be easy enough to manufacture with the correct spacing that they were going for. I always assume that it is the magnification that they messed up a little as that is harder to hit dead on, so I make the adjustment in the box circled on the right.
My scope has 10x mil-dots but I use it maxed out which worked out to be 11.6x even though it is advertised as a 12x scope.

Yeah, in ChairGun I know you can change the Dot separation.... I like the Scope Label in BRC because it has the half-dots labelled.... You can change the magnification in BRC by as little as 0.1 X, which effectively does the same thing....
When you said you can change the "dots distance" I thought you meant you could edit the yardages at each dot.... Since the BC is not constant but varies with velocity the trajectory is actually a bit more curved on the ends and flatter in the middle than any prediction using a constant BC.... I guess the only way around that is to "draw" my own reticle in a graphics program and add numbers in text boxes that I can change.... Too much trouble I think.... this works just fine as is....

yes that's a nice app.
My D48 has a 3 X9 duplex reticle, I carry a written paper with the distances for the intersections, But a graph like that it's a nice thing.
I have to print my own.

Why not put the label on the scope caps ? I find it a lot more convenient to have it there.

It works fine on the scope caps.... but I often don't use them....
