I shot my new R11 from my bench today for the first time. I had only shot it briefly at the show where I picked it up.
I shot four groups at 20 yards, but the first two aren't that impressive as I was getting used to the incredibly light trigger pull, so I'm posting the last two. This is with H&N Field Target.

Yes, that is five shots. I won't mind if you don't believe me, but it is. :)

Second of two dime sized groups, the second and third groups shot.
I will shoot some groups at 30 yards later at some proper targets. This was an impromptu test with handmade targets as I am out of printer ink and paper targets. I am planning to do a pictorial review, pellet test, and chrono string, as well.

You sure picked up a nice gun in that R11. Its not one you hear about all that often, but it really seems like it should be a lot more popular with how well it shoots.
Its always nice when a gun's first few groups are tight like that. That lets you know with a little time and getting to know it, the groups will shrink even more. Its definitely "bird's head" accurate if you ever decide to hunt with it too.

One day I hope to get one. I suppose that is why they use the R11 in field target competitions. Great shooting.

Excellent groups right off the bat! I look forward to your review. I haven't read much about the R11 anywhere. Cool.

Nice shooting! :P

Great shooting and I believe you. These German rifles shoot like no other!

I tell ya,... The R11/HW98 is on my short list for sure!!! Yes it is the same action as the R9/HW95, but the fully adjustable ambi stock is what sets it apart,.....for me at least. So what do you think about the R11 stock Cathartese?? Nice and comfy?!?! ;) Neat and $exy spring guns they are!!

The stock is fantastic, and I like the stippling on the grip and fore-end, too. I wish the wind would calm down some here so I could do more accuracy testing.
