Title: Inside 125 sniper & tear down Part #2 of more to come!
Post by: Mike 4888blues on April 29, 2012, 01:57:14 AM
For bigger pictures, click the link under each picture!

Part #2 we are removing the safety slide arms on both sides, and the thumb safety button and linkage., and prepping the trigger for removal and removing the trigger out of  its welded block.

We will replace the triggers main pin with a smaller pin that 'you make' from a drill bit end or round metal stock! (see picture) That will fit in between the welded triggers block, this keeps the trigger together and allowing you to pull it when the two lower large retaining trigger pins on receiver are pulled.

1. remove the spring end on long safety arm, that connects to the cocking shoe, then slide the small retaining pin in'' so you can slide the long safety arm towards the cocking shoe and out  of trigger assembly, then slide the pin back  so it is even on both sides of trigger assembly.

2. On other side of trigger assembly remove the retention clip.
Slide the small trigger pins in,so they are clear of the safety linkage, and remove the small metal piece, ( see pic) remove the small pin that the  safety thumb button swings on, then slide the safety assembly carefully out disconnecting where they are attached.
Be careful do not force, or bend any linkage there is no need to.
Now slide the small retaining pins back on the trigger assembly so they are even on both sides

3.you take the small trigger pin that you made, that will replace the long one on the trigger assembly,( see picture) make sure it fits correct, and is inside clearing the triggers welded block.
You are now ready to pull the two large trigger block retaining pins located on the side of the receiver just below the trigger block.

4.Warning Do not remove the large pin at the very end of the receiver, that is  the main spring retaining pin!

5. pull the two large trigger block retaining pins located on the receiver below the trigger, then tap on trigger housing with you ball peen hammer, while pulling out the trigger assembly , be careful not to loose any small trigger pins set that aside in a safe place.

6. Now that that's done unscrew your barrel pivot bolt, remove the barrel , and carefully slide and pull the cocking shoe out of the shoe slot.

Take the long safety linkage off the cocking linkage, take note the metal washers that were on both sides of the barrels breech block, one side has a raised  edge that faces down towards the breech block when you reinstall them.

I was going to make an all inclusive tear-down lube tune guide for the Hatsan today...turns out I had a complete one track mind today and didn't take any photos along the way, but I can safely say they should be taken apart and cleaned up before shooting. First thing I found is that a retaining pin was forced through, bending the trigger housing in a bit. Next was the dry mainspring and poorly finished piston, followed by several metal shavings embedded in the piston seal, which is a bit stiff and undersized.  Also I found that the rear weld is cracked on the forearm mounting lug. All of this on an unfired gun.

Once you are done with the entire write up, I vote that you consolodate it into a single guide and that it gets "sticky-ed" here on the Turkish Gate. It might inspire those who would otherwise run their new Hatsan into the ground to venture out and tune their first springer (one that most likely needs it).

 Hi Devin

your crack  on your for arm stock mount  is  that the sas  your talking about  where the stock bolt thru  it?

This is not really a good rifle for anyone  to do there first tune, it is more for those  who  done there own work before, just maybe not this particular rifle.

the link below is a ideal air rifle to learn from / by the time some one reads and learns this  info he will ready for say a crosman or stoeger  other wise they will not be used to what there looking at or what to do with it properly

Hi guys, click on the link underneath. When the pic opens up double click on the pic, it gets super sized. Don't think you need it any bigger unless you want it poster size.
I have to say I'm very disappointed on the quality everyone is experiencing with these P.O.S..
We as airgunners deserve much better. These are not cheap either, you can buy a decent PB for these prices and you won't have to tear it down before you shoot it. It really is disgusting to see a company pawn this junk off on people. We're not buying kits here, these are supposed to be fine out of the box. Not what I choose to spend my money on. More people should be sending these back and asking for refunds.

This is very good info and many thanks for posting it!  My particular gun is shooting fine right now. But who knows what the future will bring. The spring area in my unit looked to be greased really well.

Oh and the double click and magnify trick works really well for my old eyes!
