I dont get it, how come there are so many "complaints" with Hatsans. Are these issues real or are peoples expectations getting too high?
I have had some "run-ins" with members on some forums here in the UK. You pay £1000+ for a "daystate" and if you have a problem its a case of "I would have a word with your supplier and get them to ask Daystate to have a look at it for you" But if its a Hatsan, its "they are c**p and the best place for it is the bin and never buy one again"
Am I missing something here.....

All these thoughts are my own and do not reflect any Hatsan - GTA - or any other entity.

1) The USA importer appears to be an enthusiast *but* not an established airgun vendor so we have the typical shoestring and start up issues that entails.

2) The USA importer made a deal with the devil to keep his liability insurance affordable he isn't allowed to sell any parts whatsoever to the consumer.  As there is *no* sub authorized service centers at this point you cannot even get so much as a breach seal but are instead directed to "return entire rifle to Arkansas at our own expense".

3) Hatsan Turkey appears to be redirecting any communication from USA back to Hatsan USA in order to support their new USA wholesale vendor.  Thats understandable, but creates a frustrating "loop effect" for people here in the states that didn't develop a  contact with Hatsan *before* HatsanUSA came into being.

4) The assembly/cleaning/QC issues we are seeing have all the hallmarks of a huge rush too meet deadlines for the initial USA introduction and a dang shame considering the base material in the rifles are so good.

5) Don't forget we are getting the POWER models here (1,000fps & 1250fps respectively in .177 Cal spring guns),  the same emphasis as whats been selling so well in Hatsan's home bailiwick.  So this exacerbates the assembly issues that don't tear apart a sub 12ftlb rifle just in regular shooting use.

Mark

We do have Umarex and Daisy to turn to for parts as the family tree is sometimes identical.  Basic wear items like seals and springs can be modified to fit of course from the normal aftermarket group.

 Yep its true
Magnum 116 has been able to talk with them about there issues and possibly doing repair work for them as well as possibility selling parts  but that's all just been a good conversation so far he  had with them.

This is true, Mark and Mike we should start compiling a list of parts availiable for each model and from where. Brent
