My "new" 1966 Sheridan Silver Streak showed up on my stairs this morning. It was very well packaged and arrived safe and sound all the way from NC, I bought it from a member here. I am could hardly wait as I unpacked it from layers of bubble wrap. Upon first inspection the stock's finish showed wear but the actual wood underneath looks great! The barrel, receiver, and tube all seem to be in great shape, a bit of spit n' polish should make the gun shine like new! Everything functioned properly and it appeared to hold air well. I dashed outside with the gun in hand and a tin of .20 Benjamin Cylindrical pellets. (I bought the pellets ahead of time so I would not be forced to experience the agonizing wait of having a new gun with no pellets. :)) I pumped her up eight times and chambered a pellet. The trigger felt good, and after a fairly clean break the shot went downrange. I fired four more shot's which fell into a nice 3/4" group. I did not have much time to shoot it today but from what I saw just with those few shots it seems to be a good shooter. I am really happy with this gun but this is not the last you will hear from it, I plan to do a full "clean up" inside and out. I am also thinking about doing some croney tests and maybe some accuracy tests, comparing the limited selection of .20 pellets on the market today. Will be a great project. ;D Here are some "before" pic's!

hey-Hey!!!,
Next trip I visit my folks I will be getting a '76-77 vintage rocker Blue Streak from pop. I must find a Silver to go with it.
To .22 Varmint, let me offer some vintage Sheridan yellow-box pellets. These weigh 14.75 gr, and did well in my Blue. I thought I had some red-box Diablo target ones, but those have never turned up.
cheers,
Douglas

I haven't done a formal accuracy test yet, but I have been shooting the Silver Streak a bit lately and getting a feel for her. With open sights, it appears to be getting some fantastic results. :D I will try to get some accuracy tests with different pellets off a bench as soon as I find the time.
@Douglas I haven't shot any Vintage pellets through the Silver steak as I don't have any in .20 cal, I only have them in .22, It would be interesting to see their performance though.
