Here is the stock. Got to fill the but with some foam or poly. Cut the front sight off the brake. Don't use the iron sights plus the front sight gives me a ghost image in the scope. Blueing was not that great so to blend the look here goes the barrel. I like the grass pattern.

And for the final. I know many of you may not care for this. There are many things one could use for patterns. Mine is simple but the gun does look much better. Best thing is the coating will stay and it cost next to nothing.

Cool . . . Sort of a "desert feel" to the rifle.  Any plans to do the rest of the rifle and/or the scope?

"Not like this"?

That looks fantastic, did you paint the checkering part too and... what brands of coating and process did you use? My last go round with the plastic paints was not that good, they had a "gummy" feel to them even after several weeks.

I have been thinking of doing the scopes as others have. Only problem is the scopes are good scopes and if they go bad just don.t think any one will make them good. The gun is a given, It for sure can not be returned at this point. AS it stands we can fix issues that come up if we can find parts for the gun. Much easier to fill the stocks on this one. Had 2 cans of spray foam and both are bad and never been used. Off to get some.

RUSTOLEM BEDLINER 1ST COAT. Drys quick in this weather and then the same brand of brown satin. Let dry to touch and then top coat with spray satin polyurethane. Trick is to clean the plastic really good and light sand and clean again. I now have 3 syn stocks painted the same method and they all look great still. They do have a primer for syn and plastics that works great. I have just had good luck with the bedliner stuff. Yes I taped the checkering.
Her is another one. On the Remington I taped off the areas that stood out and would be handled. This one has a green hue to it.

Those do look very sharp. You certainly woke up the 125's drab appearance. Very nice job.

Nice work, on all of these guns, I'm off to the Rustoleum site for more info ;D

THANKS TO ALL. I went ahead and just stuffed the butt with poly fill. I did not remember the complete but pad coming off of the WFH. I DRILLED A HOLE AND STUFFED THAT ONE. The stock material is very thin, With the butt plate removed I was able to fill the TH AND PISTOL GRIP. Most of the RWS guns that I painted I used more colors of OD green and some black with some sand as well. WORKS GOOD FOR ME!!!!

Here is 1 RWS in OD green, black, sand, and a tripod done with fern leaves.

By the way I have found that the Remington but pads will fit the RWS AND WINCHESTER makes a good slip on pad that works good too. I hated those hard plastic but pads. Seems to work out much better on the recoil and placement to you shoulder.

One thing about it is that it will not be as noticeable to the neighbors pointed around

This is seriously impressive. Your guns look fantastic. I want to do this to mine too.  I had thought the same as you, and have plans to level the muzle break, and do some paint work.  I need some help though...

1) Confirming, you primed it with rustoleum bed liner spray?  After a sanding, did you wash with acetone, alcohol, mineral spirits, what?  Was the bedliner spray black then??

2) Did you have to prep the coat of bedliner for color, and how long did you wait before you applied color coats to the bedliner?

3) What brand/type of color spray did you use? Rustoleum has like 7 brands of satin paint. And what is the satin polyurethane you spoke of?  Is it the Varathane line for wood?? It sticks to the bedliner??

4) Finally, how did you get that amazing grass pattern on there?!

Thanks!!

Lacquer is what you want for colors and clear satin lacquer can be used for the seal if wanted. Both poly and clear will work. The bed liner pnt once dried is a very hard finish. Will not be EASY to remove. Good luck to all that take THE WOLFS steps.

Whitefang, can you please tell us which brands and types of lacquer paint you used?  Rustoleum, Krylon, and others seem to have tons of choices for "lacquer" or "polyurethane," paint. Or are you saying it doesnt matter?

I see RUSTOLEUM LACQUER SPRAY... and a RUSTOLEUM SATIN POLYURETHANE SPRAY... that what you used that gave you such great results? Poly over lacquer, and lacquer over bed liner?

Thanks again.

Love the camo jobs you did Whitefang.  I have been on the road all day looking for bedliner spray with no luck.  All I did find was black.  What is your source for these products?  I have tried home depot, pep boys, and walmart.

AutoZone.  8) I'm sure that by looking you can find other colors on line. But I like a local project. I will change the subject but .25 ammo local is like HENS TEETH!!!
The thing about the base coat. The black will work. You just apply the black let flash. Then using the black as a primer just use a color for now the called the base coat and then proceed with recipe. I did this till I found the sand. This by far does not compare with a dip or factory job. But it works for me. The method works!!!! One can take there time and make a masterpiece.

This an example of JOINT ADVENTURE and welling to share. It's not for ever one. There are much better methods out there. This is just the way I have done it for for over 30 years. Camo out of the box many OB motors, boats, and more.

Another TIP!!! If you want to mask off any areas such as checkering or making a design use the BLUE  3m masking tape. This tape comes off better and when applied right will provent bleed through and give you better lines. Also more dry time is needed if you are taping a just painted area. I am redoing ones of my guns as we speak. I hope ever one is enjoying the painting. As I have said you can make some nice Camo looks by taking some time. Most of mine are the simply route.Paint and shoot the same day.
