Title: Quatro Trigger adjustment screws...found locally??
Post by: microsalmo on April 13, 2012, 12:33:54 PM
In case anyone is looking to buy these locally. I think I found them at ACE Hardware in stainless steel. They were .60 cents each.

... confirming 3mm x 16mm, .5mm pitch, allen head... right?

Are metric screws really that hard to find in the US? I pay .10c each here for small stuff like m3.

Not really. Just have to visit the hardware store. Can anyone confirm the size I put up before I pick some up? Thanks- Steve

yes, 3mmx16mmx.5mm allen head flat tip set screw.  The standard setscrew would probably do just fine, but they have a concave tip to grab better. I feel that could create more drag on the trigger mechanism and make it more rough to fire.  The flat tip ones are like the once that come on the Quattro triggers.

I tried them. They fit well, and are staying place. They sure hang down a good bit when adjusted properly.  I would say the pull weight was cut in half, and that the minute second stage creep I had is all but gone.  This was a good $1.50 modification.

Does it help to polish the screw ends?  I was thinking of taking the dremel felt pad to them.

Is there a link to show exactly how to install and adjust the new trigger screws?

How far is this "good bit" ?

Can you measure it ?

It may be possible / desirable to either grind them down or look into getting a shorter screw to begin with !

They each hang down 1/8th Inch or so... in that range. I may cut them down but its not hurting anything. I kind of like how they look.  Looks cool  8)

... to clarify, about 1/8th" of the threads are showing.
