I have come up with a way to use my INTEGRABASE extrusion to produce a superior 'Scout' style mounting base for Benjamin/Sheridans... I propose to make a base 4.5" long that accepts both Weaver and TipOff rings.. Considerably stronger and lower than the currently available Intermounts from Crosman.... The photo is one of my pistol bases for size and height comparison.. When mounted base will accept a Tri-mount Picatinny rail for those with a need for it.... Hi,
I don't know if this is the input you wont but if you add a dovetail for a better fold down rear sight it looks like it would perfect you could get better after market irons and mount all in one.
-
The INTEGRABASE accepts both Weaver AND 11mm TipOff rings and will accomadate an aftermarket dovetail rear sight. I like the Williams FP-GR-TK... I don't know if the front sight is high enough to be compatable though.
-
I've been using the Williams peep sight with varying apertures and I have always been interested in a scout style mounting. I just don't feel I am currently achieving the accuracy I should be getting from my Sheridan using the peeps, I just need some magnification it seems. I would love to see the integrabase translated into a working scout style mount and see if the accuracy of my sheridan will warrant a steroid tune or not.

All of my rifles(3) are Billet Steroid modded by Tim at Mac1 and I VERY HIGHLY recommend the Steroid mods as well as the Billet pumping lever. What are the details on your Sheridan??? Manufacturer and model.. If it is Crosman produced the original base works great for high mag scopes.. I have used 20 And 24 power. My guns normally shoot about 1in at 50yds I like to shoot plastic army men at 50yds. If you do have interest in the Scout Mount it should be available before too long.... Thanks for you interest, Greg (http://i.imgur.com/De8Ws.jpg)

I'm very interested. Will they be for sale?

The original INTEGRABASE (pictured on the rifle above) is available now, I have just come up with the idea for the Scout Mount and tossed it out here and on the Yellow Forum and have had a great amount of support and feedback concerning it's production... I would think it will be at least a month or two minimum, but I will produce this part for sure....

Hey Greg!
Love the mount on my 392!
Thank you!
Pete.
BTW...round knob?

Only suggestion is for Pyramyd or somebody to pick these up and offer them in a combo!!!!
I can't wait to get mine and mount it like yours Petey, but my scope setup will be different.
With the right scope, this mount will keep your scope low on the rifle, so you actually may have a cheek weld instead of a chin weld. A shotgun style scope would be perfect, and mounted correctly will provide a more "natural" postion for your hands during pumping.
The scount style mount is commonly used, but looks like it would be hard for a beginner right out of the box, with eye-relief and parallax becoming an issue.
This seems like it would sell more combo setups---minimal scope height which will help with trajectory and cheek weld availiblity of using see-thru rings, and postioned correctly would make pumping more user friendly.
Can't wait.
God bless,
Farmer

i'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer, that bein said, i have a 392 ordered and would love to mount a scope on it , the mount shown by NPetey looks real good , if it was real easy to get ahold of one i'd order it even if there was a wait time involved.
a phone number would sure be handy if you could post one for ordering.

Hey VA!
Good Morning.
I now from the pics it doesn't look it . But this unit is pretty low .I can paste my cheek right on the stock. Where as i was unable with other mounts.
Happy Shootin,
Petey.

Just send a PM to Balistic1.
Greg will hook you up.
The low mounts I used were from Wally world ,,, part number 49192 . 1Inch medium .22 & Airgun.
They call it a Medium but but it's lower than most.
Enjoy!

Yeah, it does look in the right postion. Sorry, sometimes my sentance structure runs on and sounds different than I meant it to be.
It DOES look perfect....I am just thinking I may go the short/no objective bell route, so the scope is actually shorter...AND I may go see thru sights....so that I can put an iron type on the piece of the mount in front of the loading port.
Nice work on that stock, BTW, I usually prefer the wood darker, but that blonde look kinda stands out nice.
God bless,
Farmer

I'd buy one and I don't even have a crosman pumper. I'd put it away for "someday". Make them and we will buy them. :)

He didn't ignore your emails or phone calls or treat you like a bill-collector instead of a customer!? He will never make it in the airgun aftermarket biz! ;) ;D

With respect, your OP is too brief and too vague for me to understand what problem(s) your product solves and how. As you can see below, I have a "Benjamin"...what would your product do for me? You mention "size and height comparison"; what are you comparing to what? What gun with a Scout style base could I google to get a visual reference point? Can your mount be used to cancel droop? Thanks for any clarification.

The Scout style scope mount - forward mount on the barrel - is from Jeff Cooper's scout rifle ideas (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scout_rifle (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scout_rifle)). It uses a long eye relief or pistol scope. Red dot sights too.
On a Benjamin or Sheridan pump rifle it puts the scope on the barrel out ahead of the receiver and allows you to hold the rifle correctly while pumping. And loading is as easy as if there were no scope.
The two scoped rifles below show the scout style of scope mounting. The INTEGRABASE will allow the scope to sit even closer to the barrel giving the shooter a better cheek weld.

I find the scout scope to be very quick on target too. The Benji and Dan are great woods rifles and low to medium power scout mounted scope is just the ticket.

Thank you airgunandy!!!! The first INTEGRABASE was introduced to the airgun industry approximately 12 years ago.. originally a totally hand made part was produced in a limited quantity (approx 100 units) and sold mostly through Mac1 as the Mac1 Integramount or Mac1 Integrabase... The current mounting base is Extruded aircraft grade aluminum and precision machined on CNC equipment.. It is one piece and is secured in a unique way.. it is very strong... The new version has been VERY well received on both GTA and the Yellow Forum(search)... It seemed like the only reason some people didn't particularly like it was because their personal preference was to mount their scopes 'Scout' style. What I have proposed is a stronger, more versatile, lower, alternative to the CRAPPY factory intermounts.... I WAS OVERWHELMED by the replies and interest expressed on both the Yellow Forum and here on the GTA and plan to produce the Scout style base for those who prefer it.... GO BALLISTIC!!!! Greg

Thank you for your interest!!! It finally came to me that my omission of Brand/model of gun in my posting has lead to some confusion... My scope mounting base is manufactured for the Crosman/Benjamin/Sheridan line of pump/CO2 392 platform rifles and pistols.... Over a period of time I have come to discover other applications that my original extrusion could possibly be used for. After I realized the model of rifle that you have and were refering to that I do not have any base available for that model... After considering your question on 'droop' it did occur to me that the 'Scout' base WILL have a small amount of windage adjustment built in......

OK, thanks for that, guys. I gotta little studyin' up to do.::) How does the Integrabase attach to the barrel?
