What is an accurate pellet in .177 for a 24" Mellon barrel on a modded 1377?
-
Not an expert but from what I have read here, two of the same guns may shoot the same pellet differently. You just have to experiment with different pellets.

I just wanted an idea of what some people are having luck with.Right now I am shooting RWS 177 superdomes and they are pretty accurate but thought there might be something better.

Try anything.

My carbine does well with JSB Exacts and Heavies.
This is a 1/2" bull at 25 yards.

Thanks, all help is appreciated.

Id deff order up a tin of jsb's, domed h&n's but I'm sure the 1377 will handle jsb's just fine

Try many different pellets, until you find one your rifle likes.

Generally speaking, domed pellets seem to have the highest accuracy. Hollow points usually a close second or in the middle, and pointed the worst.
From what I have personally tried and what I have read....
H&N and Beeman FTT's, FTS's, Kodiaks, Barracuda have a very good track record of accuracy and consistency.
Crosman Premiers can work well, but often have consistency and QC issues.
JSB's also good with good consistency.
I've gotten decent results with Air Arms pellets, but for me the jury is still out on consistency till I can shoot em more.
Stay away from cheapo pellets period. Not worth the trouble.
