O.K. I'm done with the .22 Barrel on my NP XL !
I want to order the .25 from Crosman,....now, will I need to order the Shroud too ? does the barrel come ready to be swapped without having to adapt stuff ?
Thanks in advance, and if you like to post links and parts #'s it would be extremely appreciated.

I searched for the Crosman NPXL parts list. The receiver has the same part no. in all caliber. So I am guessing the .25 barrel assembly will fit. The shroud for the .177 and .22 are the same. The .25 shroud has a different part no.
Just want to add I am impressed with your airgun collection. Hope you have many years of enjoyment!
Oh another thing to add is a member had ordered a new barrel in the same caliber for his Crosman air rifle and had a bad barrel droop. He had to do some filing at the breech to bring it up. LOL

Would you be interested in selling your .22 caliber barrel / breech ?
What condition is it in and approximately how many pellets have been fired through it ?
I am looking to do a future project and am interested, provided the rifling is not worn out and the crown is in good shape.
I am in NC @ Zip Code 27549 to calculate postage.
Thanks, in advance !

Everything from the .22 will fit on the .25 with the exception of the barrel end cap, but you can use the .25 cap on the others. If you are not planning to keep the .22, just reuse the parts on the .25, and order a barrel and cap for the new caliber. You will have to drill out the rivet for the linkage, and that can also be reused, just put a piece of packing tape on the breach to keep it in place. Mine have lasted without issue for about 1500 with the tape, still good to go.

PS; You might want to order a new alive jam, spring and bushing, just because.

Crosman told me today they are out of the barrel cover for the 725 and don'nt know when the will get the. It took them a week to ship my stuff and I still don't have it and the barrel cover is on B/O. Good Luck

Well, I realised I didn't clean the barrel in ages, so yesterday I geve it a good clean, and within a few pellets she was shooting awsome again, I was getting frustrated and figured the barrel was the problem,...but I was the problem , LOL :)
I'll keep her in .22 cal, she shoots real, real well,...just need to remember to take care of her now and again :)

Do what I did, get the .25 anyhow. mine loves the .25 for pesting, the .22 is cheaper for paper.

Try and polish the barrel dude, i bought a can of mothers mag polish and this stuff is magic! For the .22, i take a .177 cal brass brush and wrap it with paper towell untill its snug enough for the bore, then slather that baby in mag polish and give it about 10 strokes (in+out=1 stroke) then pull a bunch of dry patches through it. You will be abletolead foul (season the barrel) i about 10 shots between cleanings and i only have to clean after about 1500 pellys. Only takes 1 wet patch, then 1 drypatch after you polish the bore. I would compare it to "trying to wipe peanutbutter off of 80 grit sand paper" or,... "wiping peanutbutter off of a mirror) the mirrored finish is less porus so they are almost self cleaning. Good luck man, i love My .22 xl

I totally agree with Brewerja.
I polished the heck out of my NPXL and it holds groups that are fantastic.
