Title: Stocks from Don Robinson/Masterstocker?
Post by: gby2k6 on March 09, 2012, 09:07:31 PM
For the last 7 years of shooting airguns, I've never heard of the stock maker, Don Robinson.  But he's got some really nice stocks and I was wondering if any of you have heard of him or know someone who's used him.  He's out of Europe and doesn't have an email, so I can't email him.  This is why I need help from the airgun community.

Here's the site: http://www.guns4u2.co.uk/sporting2.htm (http://www.guns4u2.co.uk/sporting2.htm)

The only way I could contact him is by placing an international phone call.  If it doesn't look like it's going to be worth the trouble, then I rather not bother.

Thanks.

Never heard of him but obviously his work is gorgeous. If it were me I think id pick one of the great stock makers we have in the stats, thats assuming you are also in the states.

I recomend Steve Corcoran http://specials.airgunsoftexas.com/announcements.php (http://specials.airgunsoftexas.com/announcements.php) He does superb work.

I am in the states and have called several of the stock makers here.  I've talked to DaveG and he's not currently focused on stock making right now.  I've also exchanged emails with Paul Bishop, but he must be very busy because my last few emails have not been responded to the last few months.  I've not contacted Steve Corcoran because the stock is for an Air Arms and his website says that they're discontinued.  I have looked and corresponded with GinB but I'm too crazy about their limited wood selection.

Is there anyone else that any of you can refer me to? Any referrals or suggestions is appreciated.

Thanks.

I believe Steve Corcoran has retired or stopped doing business.
I have one ove his benchrest stocks and it is indeed eye candy.

Don't know how busy he might be, but you can try Mike at Airgun Stocks:  http://airgunstocks.com/ (http://airgunstocks.com/)
