Post by: Pete on February 15, 2012, 03:30:47 AM
I needed a seal for my 55... Since no one other than
Hatsan make them...
I decided to make one or two...
I tryed a softer urethane "orange" than I usually
use... but way to soft so back to the harder urethane..

red stuffs hard enough to machine but the orange what a ?..

They look really good Pete!

Hey you wouldn't happen to know what size seal the strikers use would you?
I want to lube mine, but want to find a seal etc before I pull it apart lol

26.75 ID
To check..measure the tubes OD if its
31mm OD then it has a 26.75 bore..
Hatsan is the only one that
makes that size at the moment..

Pete,  are the stock seals on newer Hatsan rifles a good fit from the factory or are they likely to be "undersized"  like some of the old gamo guns were?

They don't seem to be to bad...
BUT I had a turkish Webley Patriot
the seal in that was like 1mm under size..(38thou)
It was so far undersize I think it just got the wrong
seal put in it..like a Mod 125 /135 seal
The seals are very hard urethane..I suspect
they use a urethane around 75D.where mine
are 95A...

my stock 95 seal had a small metal flake inbeded in it  on the side, as you know I  used a new j m seal after modding the piston button.
i saw on my piston at the area of the sear knock out thin metal that was bent over from not cleanly removed  i grounded  that off  and cleaned it during the tuning
