I need to make an adjustment to a Gamo Dynamax that requires removal of the barrel. Does anyone have a parts diagram or other information to help me safely remove the barrel? It isn't intuatively obvious to me how the barrel is secured or how to get to the screws that secure it.

Is this Don? here is a pdf diagram. look under BSA for everything. it's exact copy except the stock.

sorry, Ron. another thing about pumping the dynamax. it's much harder to pump to 3400psi then to 1000psi that you are use to doing on your QB78.

Multishot is a bit different to single shot that's used in the guide above. First there's a set screw in new model guns below the probe that keeps the probe from spinning. You need to loosen this up to get the probe out. To do that you need to remove the hammer spring and the tophat. Once you get the probe out you push that plastic piece where probe rides back and it reveals the second screw right in front of the magazine that holds the two main parts of the gun together. When opening up that second screw keep the gun breech side down. There's a very small and lively spring + ball in there that shoots out if you keep it breech up.

I am to the point where I am trying to remove the probe latch. It just does not want to come out. I have removed the set screw underneath, the narrow pin the latch pivots on and the probe latch spring. It appears that it it should just slide out underneath the probe once the probe is in the latched position. But it just doesn't seem to quite come out. Any suggestions?

Push the probe in, the latch will only come out when the probe is in locked position. Pushing the probe slightly in to release the spring tension from latch helps. Then it's just to wiggle it with pliers or something and to pull it out.

Hey guys I'm new here. I registered because I found this thread while googling how to disassemble my Dynamax. I can't figure out how to remove the hammer. I got the hammer spring out but that's as far as I got. Also I'd like to get the valve housing out. The fitting where the air tube screws on. Any help would be appreciated.

Loosen the set screw at the rear of the hammer and then pull out the hammer latch pin.

How does the spring tophat come out? It doesn't fit through where the hammer spring set screw goes..

You need to remove the rear plug from the tube. One screw on top and one at the bottom. Screw off the probe head extension and push the probe in and you gain access to the top screw.
