I just picked up my new FWb 124. looking for starting pellet suggestions? Thanks

In close under 25 yards, bird duty etc ... mine has always loved RWS Hobby's or Diabolo basics.
Hunting and small game use the JSB exact 8.4's

Great gun to pick up. ;)
I'd start with the Crosman pellets such as the premier hollow point and the premier pointed pellets. Those shoot well from both of my FWB 124s and I can buy them locally. So far they shoot as well as the JSB 8.4gr pellets. That said, like you, I'm still in the process of finding my guns' preferred pellet and plan to test more later too. I just need to get in a pellet order to have others to get testing with. But for now the crosmans do decently enough.

I agree with the others here on this those pellets should work just fine, :P

I've recently been using the JSB exacts 8.44 gr, and they seem to be the best I've tried so far.

Mine digest any mid weight pellet well. She is particularly happy with the 8.44 jsb.

Shot and recorded these speeds @ 10 days ago. This on a recently overhauled / Maccarri tuned FWB 124 D with less than 100 pellets threw it ... So more to come once broken in ;D
Shooting RWS "Diabolo Basic" 7 gr = 862 FPS average over 10 shots.
The JSB exact 8.4's = 787 FPS for 10 shots.

motorhead... that is kind of strange, so i just run down to the chrony. Mine swings the 8.44 at an average 872 fps with a high of 881 and a low of 869 on a 10 shot string. it also had a maccary kit put on and it has about 750 shots through it... maybe too much moly??? mine uses minimal lube as it was buttoned up by Jan Kraner. But even so when we got her it shot the jsb 8.4 at around 810...

Tim at Mac-1 did the work so can only assume done correctly. When shot over the chrony temperature was in the low 50's. Sure with some warmer weather, more time on it breaking in the seal and moly thinning out things will speed up more.
