My R1 was inaccurate today by as much as 3.75" @ 35 yds., thinking that maybe my scope had accidentally been bumped i double checked all of the scope mount bolts and the rail bolts too, all were snug and so were the screws at trigger, stock and barrel. My pellets are the same that i have been using and i opened a brand new tin just to be sure. Also, pencil lines were drawn just in front of the clamps upon installation so i know the scope had not slipped. After cocking the barrel to load a pellet, i noticed that there was a slight wiggle in the barrel from side to side my question is; should the wiggle be there and is this affecting accuracy? it does not wiggle at all when barrel is ready to shoot only when it is cocked all the way down. Any input much appreciated.
Thanks!

Their should be no wiggle in the barrel side to side and yes theirs probably your problem, you need to tighten the barrel the block bolt but don't over tighten it tho! :P
-
Thanks Mark 611, i will tighten them.

Thanks again Mark 611! I wasn't tightening the block bolts enough and there was about a 1/4 turn on each side, after a handful of pellets contributing to the zeroing in of the scope i nailed a popcorn kernel embedded in a block of clay at 30 yds. Woot! Thatswhutimtalkinbout!

Great news on the Beeman. Mark's a well knowledged airgunner and I wasn't surprised in his diagnosis of your temporary in accuracy issues. In .177 caliber, the R1 shoots best with heavy pellets like the Kodiak/Cudas' and provide the most efficiancy out of that particular power-plant. Shoot on!!!!!
