Title: Benji Trail NP barrel
Post by: mtsheron70 on February 06, 2012, 03:56:29 PM
Does anyone know if the barrel end (muzzle) screws off the shrouded barrel?  Reason I ask.....it has a end cap that appears may screw off???  Also at the beginning of the barrel it appears so as well???

the shroud comes completely off. you just put the right size allen wrench into the muzzle cap end enough to NOT touch the barrel itself and turn it loose then the cap comes off and the shroud comes right off. and the barrel cannot come off the breech assembly it is one unit.

Wanted to do the Q-tip test to see if there were any hang up points at the barrel muzzle (exit).  I may have it crowned anyway to get the best accuracy from the gun.

i never done a re-crown but its so easy the barrel is right there. if you got a wood screw and lapping compound i would.

The barrel is way down inside that allen cap.  Just grip the shroud, and turn the allen counter clockwise.
