I was just posting to see if anyone had chrono results for the Crosman Storm XT .177 If so please post. Thanks.

Mine averages 935fps w/Crosman 7.9 (brown box) premiers. Have run approx. 1000 pellets through it. Have new spring and seals ready at hand but until the fps drops drastically, I'm leaving her alone. The GRT III trigger is a must have! Easier to shoot than my XL1100.

Last time I checked mine was averaging around 940 with 7.9 gr pellets. Gun is bone stock and a great shooter.

My Phantom, which is the same internals I think, shoots 925 with 7.9's and 775 with 10.65 Barracuda's. I know the heavy pellets will wear out my spring faster but until I find something at least as accurate I'll keep using them.
These are great guns for the money IMO.

Here it is. Data from 2 years back. New spring with 800 shots in her.
Pellet Grains Avg. Vel. Ft. Lb.
Beeman Crow Mag 8.8 874.26 fps 14.94
Beeman Kodiak 10.6 814.48 15.62
Crosman Wad 7.9 912.18 14.60
Crosman Hunting 7.9 919.32 14.83
CP Hollow Point 7.9 925.18 15.02
CP Superpoint 7.9 913.58 14.64
CP Ultra Mag 10.5 769.02 13.79
Daisy Prec Max HP 7.5 954.42 15.17
Daisy Prec Max Wad 7.8 834.16 12.05
Gamo Match 7.5 926.82 14.31
H&N Diabolo Baracuda 10.65 793.12 14.88
RWS Meisterkugeln 8.2 908.44 16.13
RWS Superdome 8.3 892.16 14.67
I only used the heavy (10.xx gr.) pellets for the test. I normally don't shoot them due to the harm they can cause to the spring.
Found more stats:
With a brand new spring installed in my G1 Extreme (Sister of the Storm, Quest and Sierra Pro models), she achieved 960 fps average with 7.9gr. Crosman Hunting pellets. She had a couple of shots past the 1000fps mark....1030, 1014, 1012 and 1008fps....but those are when the spring have not settled down. Won't be seeing those numbers again.

My storm just turned 2 this Janurary, and has had over 10,000 shots through it, and its getting 852 fps with CPHPs, and that about 12.8 ft-lbs.

Thanks for all the informative posts guys. I was wondering how much it would cost to get a new trigger, spring and seals because My storm is pretty old and I got used at a pawn shop. I was also wondering if I could install these new parts myself or If I would have to send my gun in to get the parts installed professionally. If you guys have any links to sites that have these parts please post them, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If your Storm is an old one....it should have the original metal trigger. If so, Charlie Da Tuna's GRT III trigger should drop right in. You can get a spring or seal...be it piston or breech seal directly from Crosman. Or you can order those from Jim Maccari.....his springs and seals are supposed to last longer.
You'll need someone else to chime in to give you the part numbers for Jim's products. If you order from Jim....order the heavy tar and moly paste also.
You can get info in the GTA Library on how to take apart your air rifle, lube tune it while installing the parts and putting it back together. Or somewhere else on the net....I got my info from Tom Gaylord at Pyramyd Air Gun's blog.
If you attempt to open up your air rifle....make sure you use a spring compressor. You can see other members spring compressors in the GTA also.....just type it into the "Search"....and maybe it will direct your there.

Thanks for the info, I'm going to take a look at the library right now. 8)
