Title: GRT-3 on the way.
Post by: Nate the airgunner on February 01, 2012, 12:49:21 AM
I just sent my money order to CDT to get my GRT-3 for my Trail XL, hopefully this improves my groups. I get very good groups at 30 yards and under, but after that, the groups just open up, and I pull alot more. I thought at first it was me, so I just kept practicing, but after 10 months and no improvement with a lot of shooting and no improvement, that is more than likely not me, and is the TERRIBLE trigger. So, after reading online, I settled in spending $32 for that "treasure," the Gold grt3 trigger. Im hoping this solves my problem, Ill update you when I get the trigger put in, and hopefully, put up some before and after targets.  ;D

I put the GRTlll on my Stoeger and it made a huge difference in my shooting ability. Groups are much more consistent and I don't pull the shot like I was with the long 2 stage trigger that came with it. The pressure is much lighter as well; 2-3 pounds is my guess.

Night and day difference between the GRT111 and stock trigger.

Nate-

I put mine in last week from Charlie DaTuna and this trigger will definitely make you smile!  A little fine tuning and I was in business for sure.  It is a true 2 stager and once you break it in with about 500 rounds it will bring your groups in to where they touch one another if you have great shooting mechanics!

Enjoy the trigger!

Dang! I was unlucky and now, have a hair trigger. But, after reading, I found how to fix it with a round file. Ill update you when she is fixed.

That not worthy! Does Bob do refunds or trades for a different trigger?

Disreguard this, I just wasn't used to a normal trigger, seeing how the Trail had a mile long pull and about 6 pounds of force to break the trigger, I was long pull, with an ease on weight, all I have to do now is get used to the new trigger, and adjust to more creep on my second stage, and a longer first stage, as Ican hardly feel the first stage.
