Title: Exploded diagrams of some of the old guns
Post by: lizzie on January 31, 2012, 05:51:18 PM
I was googling today, looking for an exploded diagram of the Diana model 35, and came across this website. It even has the diagram for my old model 50. I was shocked, lol. Thought some of you might find it useful. :)

Thanks lizzie. I'm always looking for stuff like that to file away.

Yep- my printer's been pretty busy today, lol. I always bookmark sites like this, then forget what they were called, so I figured I had better print them out while they are still available. ;D

Me too. I at least print the ones for guns I have, and then I lose those and print them again later and then find the originals--and make paper airplanes out of the redundant copies...its a circus.

A very conclusive listing, thank you lizzie.

Since I have recently renewed my old Diana 35, I of course had Telefon contact as well as email correspondence with the Diana Fabrik, here in Germany.

May I offer this tidbit, as I haven't seen it ever on the Internet.

Shows the original Factory velocity in meters per second of the Model 35 and others.  Please excuse the German language, but visible is the VO as .177, as well as the V10 as .22 versions.

Legally allowed here in Germany for over-the-counter airguns is a muzzle velocity of 175m/s.  This translates to 574 fps.  So, one can easily see that the older guns (before 1970, which are allowed) have more punch, and are as such desirable.  My old 35 has a velocity of 770 fps, as the updated spring is legal.  The so-called Export Spring from Diana, allows for velocity of 920 fps.

I will soon report after installation!

Also attached, an Original from Diana,  Explosion-view showing a more recent model, sent to me per email.

Greetings.

Thank you soooo much airnutz! That's wonderful to have. ;D

I have a question- is the spring you referred to as the Export Spring the one you are planning to use? Did I understand you correctly?

I am considering replacing the current original Diana spring with the Export (also Diana) Spring.  I am not quite sure though.  The measured 770fps it has now is pretty strong for an old gun, IMHO.

But....the winter is harsh this year, now 3° F, with wind and snow.  Sounds like maybe to make for some fun, I just might replace the thing to see what happens.  Probably will knock my shoulder out.

I will report though, with pics!
