Title: Diana 34 panther.
Post by: Mryan21 on January 31, 2012, 02:38:11 AM
Hi guys,
I was wondering if there was anyone here who could work on my rifle. It's binding during cocking, and the power seems to be down. It's very accurate and i would love for someone who knows what they are doing to fix it for me. Reading up on the internet, i'm wondering if my spring is bent. The gun binds up completly just about. It will cock but something is seriously wrong.Any guesses whats wrong with it? Wondering if there is anyone near NY who works on these. Hoping you guys knew someone i could contact. Thanks Matt.

Two GTA members you might want to send a personal message to that might help you.  Shadow or Mikeiniowa

Binding sounds are usually a broken spring.
These rifles are pretty easy to work on, just have to be careful with the trigger mechanism.
Then install either a vortek kit or a maccari kit( Air rifle headquarters)
Good luck
Rob

Here's a good pictorial on how to change the spring, it's a fairly easy process.  Here's the link....

Note:  The guy in the tutorial doesn't use a spring compressor  however I WOULD  !!

Spring and seals  or complete tune kit available from Macarri.... here's the link....

If you are hesitant to do the job yourself as the others mentioned you can contact Mike Mellick or Ed (Shadow)

Hope this helps you.

The 2 guys listed above are 2 of the best but if you want to take it on and tune it yourself id throu this baby in http://vortekproducts.com/ourstore/Tuning-Kits/RWS34%20Airgun%20Tuning%20Kit (http://vortekproducts.com/ourstore/Tuning-Kits/RWS34%20Airgun%20Tuning%20Kit)

It will transform your gun.  Rws guns are easy to get apart especially with the t06 triggers. Spring compressors are easy and cheaply built also.

Should have asked this before. The kit really does make a big difference? I see you have a couple rws with this kit. Did you see an increase or decrease in power? Power isn't the most important thing to me, looking for shootability, but its nice because this gun is my squirrel rifle. Thanks again :)
