Title: Jsb exact rs vs air arms falcon
Post by: jjpeters4 on January 28, 2012, 06:29:05 PM
I know aa falcons are made by jsb, but what I want to know is, if there is any difference in quality such as weight, head diameter, skirt diameter ect...I shoot the falcons out of my 1322 carbine and they are very very accurate. Today I was messin around with the xl1100 and was shootin the falcons through it, I shot about a 3/8 inch group at around 25yds.....Holy cow!....So I was shooting the skenco ultramag 18.2gr in the xl, I started shooting those wild, its like some pellets shot good and others don't, I suspect qc, very disappointed because they are cool pellets and hit like a freight train, doesn't do any good if ya can't hit the target tho! I would like to try the pellet sampler jsb has now, or either order all 3 kinds of air arms pellets, so what do you guys think about the difference between jsb and aa?

Thanks for posting your review on those pellets.  Might not have gotten a response to your questions right away.  May need to wait for the right people to get on the forum to respond to a somewhat isolated question.  LOL

IIRC JSB uses dies specific for Air Arms when they make the pellets.  I'm currently shooting AA Diablos and they are every bit as good as the JSB/JSB pellets.

I've used both AA and JSB (both 8.4gr and 10.3gr) for the past year and can't tell any difference.  They both shoot very well.
There may be differences in design, but I regard them as substitutes.

No noticeable difference in the JSB RS and the air arms falcons.   dollar cheaper of course.

I have burned thru 1 or 1000 of each caliber.

The Air Arms are hands down a very good value, but still in the expensive ranges sometimes.  Skirts can be easily damaged via handling, so take care.

These are lighter, so work great in stuff like 13XX carbines, to get a little extra speed.  They don't shoot well for me out of mid-to-high power spring rifles occasionally, but just because they are so light.  Funny though, they shoot dead accurate out of a steroid benji, to the tune of 1 inch groups at 50 on a good day.
The light, pliable skirts seem better suited to pump pneumatic or c02 power.   Recoil on a springer seems to be the worst offender of accuracy.

All in all, I think MOST guns you could take and dump the two brands together in a pile, and not know the difference.
And they are cheaper, not by much, but still....money is money.

God bless,

Farmer

I have used both and they are functionally interchangeable. Both shoot the same. The AA pellets are presently a little less expensive and I have had fewer bent skirts in the tin with the AA.

Sweet, I already have the falcons because I shoot them in my 1322 carbine, I ordered the 16 and 18gr AA, as well as some jsb pellets....I should have done this a few thousand pellets ago....

jjpeters4,
I just noticed that you have a 22. The JSB RS and AA Falcons that I used were the 7.33gr .177 pellets.
