well, they are probably thinking that the retailers aren't going to pay attention. high MFSRP, and much lower price looks like a good deal ;-)

If a Pneuma Elite 10 is $360 which is a AT44, one would expect the price to be around the same, right? As for the BT65 it should be priced with the Mrod not more than the Rainstorm & just below Air Arms @ $675( Taking your 75% of MSRP formula).  I had a rebadged AT44 called the Halestorm & sent it back because the quality was pretty bad all around, from the fit & finish, pot metal parts, magazines with poorly formed teeth which caused it not to function properly, wobbley side lever, etc..... Stock was nice & it had decent accuracy....... Hammerli & Air Venturi tried the higher price point with the Pneuma & Halestorm line & they didn't sell until they brought the price down.  Guess they didn't learn from Hammerli & PA dropped the Halestorm due to quality issues.

Thats odd, i was at the shotshow and picked up all of the new hatsun pcp guns and played around with them all. I was impressed when i looked at the new designs, and all of the wood and metal. There was one that caught my eye which was a pcp repeater as well which used a shotgun stype pump action to cycle the magazine! Pretty dang cool! Anywho, im not sure if and when all of those will be released to the public but i noticed nothing but quality worksmanship on those guns. Even beeman/qb guns felt well built when i picked them up. Wait and see i guess. Thats odd that you hadthat many issues with yours.

One must remember !  Mostly all shotshow products have gone under much better quality control because viewers and users want to get one just like the one they handled at the shotshow .  We may all want all the guns to be tops when we purchase them but, as you know that's not always the case and the best made products are not always duplicated down the line. just my experience !      ;D
