I've read I need to install a Tuna trigger and the mod kit, but I also heard this will void the warranty. So Is this what i need to do?
-Clean barrel
-Put around 1000 pellets thru it and confirm the gun can group well, *and if not exchange*
-After confirming I have a good gun, have new trigger and Bushing/Washer Kit installed
Is this right, and should I do anything else? Piston seals replaced too? Tune from Shadow?
-
usually you should just replace the seal anyway because it is usually not 100% and deburr the guns edge surfaces internally also clean the whole insides out and put in the right moly paste lubricant.
-
The trigger is as easily taken out as put in and is worth every penny.
-
Just get one.....Put in a trigger....clean the barrel and ENJOY!
Welcome to the GTA!
Pete.

Replacing the trigger will not void the warranty. The bushing kit may, but Crosman is fairly lenient. You would have to remove them if the rifle had to be returned for another reason. Save the original assembly, just in case.

I actually called Crosman and they said it wouldn't void warranty, but save original parts....The trigger I mean...

Don't forget that we have a CROSMAN Tech on GTA . . .
"TeamTRUsound" , aka "Chuck" !
Ask for "Chuck" when you call Crosman . . . He shoots an NP 1100 XL.

It sounds like Crosman is giving conflicting info.
I just got back this reply from Crosman:

Unfortunately yes, installing an after market trigger in the Trail NP rifle would void your warranty.
Thank you for contacting Crosman Corporation.

@kmiJ thanks for that suggestion, keeping the original trigger sounds like the solution.

That's why he said to ask for Chuck.
